The coronavirus outbreak is disrupting culture significantly, placing countries in lockdown and forcing people to stay home. 'Due Musei' (Two Museums) invites listeners to pay attention to seemingly useless things, in the attempt to let them re-discover small sounds and find peace in their homes. It documents the sound of human activity altered by two different architectural spaces. Listening is recommended at relatively low volume.

Recorded in 2014 at MAXXI’s library and in 2019 at Chichu Art Museum’s long corridors, narrow passageways, triangle courtyard, variable rooms and artists’ galleries (Turrell, De Maria).

All monies raised from this edition will be donated to the World Health Organisation’s COVID-19 Response Fund. Thank you.

L'epidemia di coronavirus sta sconvolgendo la cultura in modo significativo, mettendo i paesi in isolamento e costringendo le persone a rimanere a casa. "Due Musei" invita gli ascoltatori a prestare attenzione a cose apparentemente inutili, nel tentativo di far riscoprire piccoli suoni e trovare pace nelle proprie case. Questo lavoro documenta il suono dell'attività umana modellato da due diversi spazi architettonici. L'ascolto è consigliato a volume relativamente basso.

Registrato nel 2014 nella biblioteca del MAXXI e nel 2019 al Chichu Art Museum, nei suoi lunghi corridoi e passaggi stretti, nel cortile triangolare, nelle sale di dimensione variabile e nelle gallerie degli artisti (Turrell, De Maria).

Tutti i fondi raccolti da questa pubblicazione saranno devoluti al COVID-19 Response Fund dell'Organizzazione Mondiale della Sanità. Grazie.
